I want to say a big Mahalo to everyone at the Rusty Harpoon for helping to make my recent vacation everything a vacation should be. Your location is obviously spectacular and the food and drinks are superb. Though the best thing about your establishment is the servce. Your staff sets the perfect mood for fun and enjoyment! They make the Rusty Harpoon the place everyone wants to spend time while on vacation. Thanks to the management for allowing the staff the freedom to provide the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and escape from everyday life. I came back four times during my 11 day visit and cannot even imagine visiting Maui without planning several trips to the Rusty Harpoon. My advise to everyone would be to make the Rusty Harpoon a big part of every trip to Maui. I especially want to thank Thomas and Guy in the bar for helping to meet all of my needs during my trip. We stubled upon the Rusty Harpoon which honestly only beat our other options because they had the shortest wait. I cannot say enough nice things about this place.
My husband and I LOVE eating in resturants..it is one of our favorite things to do, so we were really excited for our trip to Maui. Overall we were fairly disappointed with a lot of the places that receive rave reviews, with a frew exceptions. One night we were exhausted and just wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before going to bed. We stubled upon the Rusty Harpoon which honestly only beat our other options because they had the shortest wait. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Our dinner and drinks were so good that we went back three times during our stay and were not disappointed once. The atmosphere is great, and you are basically right on the water. Best Food on Kaanapali Beach, Fantastic View
This is one of those places that visitors talk about for years to come. The food here is some of the best you'll find in the Islands and without a doubt, the best on Kaanapali Beach. Anything you try off this menu will leave your mouth watering for more. When I say this place is on the beach, I mean it is ON the Beach. Its as close as you can get without getting wet. I have had the pleasure of eating at the Rusty Harpoon many times since it opened and I have always recieved great service and Great Food. The Rusty Harpoon is big on location. It’s got a prime spot on "Dig Me" Beach in Kaanapali. Put on a beach wrap and rubber slippers and whet your whistle in what is known as the "Daiquiri Capital of Maui." Watch your favorite sports game on the big-screen TVs and sip daiquiris such as mango, guava, pineapple, banana and coconut. As for the menu, it’s that familiar formula designed to appeal to the masses. Don’t expect anything fancy. Wake up to the Belgian waffle bar in the mornings. Half-pound burgers, salads, sandwiches and the fresh catch take over for the rest of the day.
